Cytology Lab Assistant

LabCorp, one of the nation’s leading laboratories, has an immediate opportunity for a

Day Shift Cytology Lab Assistant.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Accessions, stains, and coverslips cytology specimens.

 
Order Entry of requisitions
Manually opens specimen bags and logs in number and type of specimens received.
Prepares celluar samples for study under the microscope by staining and coverslipping slides.
Maintains a clean and work area and instruments.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

 

Hours - Monday - Friday 4:am - 12:30p.m.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Training Required)

High School or equivalent. Previous Lab experience helpful but will train.
