Three Springs, Inc. operates residential treatment programs for teenagers with behavioral and emotional problems. We are currently hiring for Counselors at our program in Trenton, Alabama which is about 30 miles each of Huntsville. In operation since 1985, we now operate 23 programs throughout the USA.

This is a counseling position working with adolescent boys experiencing emotional and behavioral problems. Our outdoor treatment program serves adolescent boys ages 12-18. The Counselor helps teach the boys daily living skills, supervises the group during their daily activities and runs group therapy sessions.

Schedule-
The counselor position is a live-in position with 18 days on and 12 days off a month. This requires the counselor to generally work four to five days on consecutively, with two or three days off per shift.

Responsibilities-
Every counselor must promote self-esteem, responsibility, healthy relationships, good communication skills, self-discipline, and appropriate role modeling. Our strongest impact is made within the relationship built between each staff and student Counselors serve as role models and help students form honest relationships, develop positive self-worth, and work together toward common goals.

Education-
This position requires a B.S. or B.A. in the Behavioral Sciences, such as psychology, sociology, human services, physical education, criminal justice or therapeutic recreation fields.
