PT/FT Community Relations Specialist - Yuma, AZ

Summary:

 

The Community Relations Specialist (CRS) develops, implements, and coordinates community outreach and relations efforts for dental clinic in the Yuma, AZ area.  The CRS is responsible for neighborhood/guerilla marketing, identifying and attending health and community fairs/events, presenting public educational workshops, and developing relationships with community doctors and school officials.  The CRS has direct communication and daily reporting to Director of Community Services and Office Managers of each clinic and must prepare and present written and verbal commmunications for various audiences.

 

This position will be 25 hours per week with the potential option of full time employment.

 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

Must be extremely motivated with excellent organizational, communication and people skills.  Must have the ability to establish an effective working relationship with employees, managers, citizens, appointed and elected officials; ability to work in a team environment and independently.  Experience and proficiency with MS Office Suite to include Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Two years of professional related experience involving community involvement is preferred. Must have knowledge of medicaid system and local social service organizations and be comfortable visiting low income residential areas. Bilingual a plus!

College degree preferred.  Will consider applicants with strong community services background.
