Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Social Work *** Master's level candidates are over qualified.
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Computer Savvy
Intake experience is a plus

Position:
Full time first shift position with a well known insurance company. This is a great opportunity for an experienced intake specialist to continue a career in a fast paced ever changing environment. This is also an excellent opportunity for a social worker to pursue a career in a very different, yet challenging aspect of health care services. This is a telephonic position for an employee assistance program, the job functions are to include granting prior-authorization of treatment for out-patient mental health assistance, treatment and therapy .

The job duties include:
Taking calls from patients and other health care professionals to determine eligibility for care.
Telephonically conducting out-patient mental health screenings as a guide for making determinations in eligibility requests.
Determining level of care indicated from the screening process.
Guiding mental health patients through the initial insurance process for ordered treatment and procedures, indicated by their health care provider.
