In Home Counselor II

First Home Care of Virginia is expanding our wrap around services and community based resource centers. We offer a host of services to youth that include home based programming, case management services, therapeutic group homes and foster care programming.

 



Duties of In Home Counselor II:





Primary responsibilities include needs assessment, treatment planning, case coordination and advocacy of youth referred for foster care services.  Provides direct in-home supportive counseling and and monitors services received and response to treatment.  Coordinates community resources and acts as liaison to other providers.















Education Requirements:



Level II (Job Code 06-4078):

Must possess a Master's Degree in psychology, social services or health related field. Two or more years experience in social services, juvenile services, residential psychiatric programs or health related field. Experience providing services to children with sexual offenses or substance abuse preferred.  Travel around the local Fairfax community is required.  Bilingual a plus!
