KTDA, Inc. is a non-profit public benefit corporation created to provide foster care facilities for juveniles. We have mutiple Child Care Worker positions at all position levels in Fresno.

Position 1: House Manager

Duties:

· Management of the facility’s budget and expenditures according to the facility’s budget limitations

· Organization of the facility work and delegation of responsibility to staff members

· Assessment of the facility operations and program, reporting to KTDA, and training of staff

· Review of, and response to, complaints made by residents or his/her authorized representatives

· Disciplinary Action and write ups of staff on performance

· Enrollment of Client in school or Educational Program

· Preparation of a weekly and monthly activity schedule for residents

· Facility Food Budget and inventory

· Scheduling and attending various functions and appointments for Client

· Medications dispensing and daily checks of proper dispensation

· Filing and documentation

· Facility check for maintenance problems

· Facility menu and food charting

· Crisis intervention for clients posing a danger to themselves, others or property, including physical aggression and self-abusive behavior

· Assistance to clients in achieving his/her Needs and Service Plans

· Setting of limits for behaviors

· Supervision, protection and care of Clients (individually and in groups) at all times

· Notation of the Client’s progress, identification of the possible need for professional services, and communication of such findings to professional staff

Qualifications:

· Knowledge of the requirements for providing the type of care and supervision needed by at-risk youth, including ability to communicate with such youth;

· High school diploma or equivalent

· At least 21 years old

· A minimum of one year prior experience providing direct supervision to Clients

· Knowledge of, and the ability to comply with, Title 22 regulation and applicable laws governing residential care facilities

· Ability to maintain or supervise the maintenance of financial and other records

· Ability to direct the work of others.

 

 

Position 2: Client Care Worker

Duties:

· Preparation of meals, cleaning and upkeep of facility

· Medication issuance

· Crisis intervention for clients posing a danger to themselves, others or property, including physical aggression and self-abusive behavior

· Supervision and care of clients (individually and in groups) at all times

· Assistance to clients in handling individual problems

· Assistance to clients in achieving his/her Individual Program Plan (IPP)

· Preparing behavioral and incident reports when needed

· Report writing and documentation of client day to day activities

· Attending various community functions with clients

· Notation of clients progress, identification of the possible need for professional notation of client progress, identification of the possible need for professional services, and communication of such findings to professional staff

· Transportation clients to medical and dental appointments

· Charting

· Assisting clients in grooming and bathing if necessary

· Administration of discipline and setting of limits for behavior

Qualifications:

· At least 18 years old

· High School diploma or equivalent, or 15 units of college credits in child development or related field

· 1 year (minimum) prior experience working with clients in group home setting

 

For Both Positions:

All job applicants will be screened for appropriate experience and educational qualifications, based upon requirements set forth by Community Care Licensing and KTDA.  Therefore, conditions of employment will be based on the following:

· Health exam and TB clearance

· Statement of criminal convictions

· Client Abuse index check

· Fingerprint clearance

· Valid California Driver’s License

· Completion of First Aid/CPR requirements, as specified by community care licensing
