Job Description:

Under close supervision, obtain, analyze and review all patient information, diagnoses and procedures for billing and collection of radiology services to ensure maximum accurate and timely reimbursement.

 

Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent.

Previous medical billing experience.

 

Knowledge of:

Medical billing practices and procedures.

Basic human anatomy.

CPT and ICD-9 coding.

Customer service principles and techniques.

Medicare and Medicaid regulations.

 

Skills/Abilities:

Operate a calculator with speed and accuracy.

Schedule, organize and complete work in accordance with deadlines.

Enter, balance and reconcile accounting entries.

Communicate effectively with staff, management, customers and health care representatives.

Understand and follow specifications and instructions.

Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
