Description

Technical Skills: Provides high quality imaging using various modalities including neuro-vascular and endovascular angiography examination. Patient Assessment: Collaborates with team to collect data pre- and post-procedure, and prepares patients for procedures in CVIR. Equipment Operation and Maintenance. Safely and competently operates all radiographic, processing and inventory equipment in CVIR. Patient Advocate. Acts as a liaison between physician, family, and other interdepartmental units. Utilization of Resources. As part of the CVIR team, utilizes the laboratories efficiently and safely. Quality Assurance. Participates with team in unit assignment quality assurance projects.

Some on-call responsibilities RequirementsMinimum 3 years experience as a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist preferred. CVIR certification preferred. Licensed or eligible for licensing in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Radiologic Technologist. Proficient in English. Effective verbal and written communication skills, computer skills, and knowledge of sterile technique required. Education RequirementsGraduate of an accredited school of Radiography.
