RN- Perioperative Training Program

Overview : Banner Health will be offering a PERIOPERATIVE TRAINING PROGRAM beginning August 7, 2006. This program is for RNs and New Graduate RNs who are interested in receiving the training necessary to work in a full time position in the operating room in one of our Banner Health facilities and is based on AORN standards of Perioperative Nursing. Classes will be held Monday through Friday, 7A-3:30p, for 5 weeks and there will be one to two clinical days each week. A preceptorship of three to six months will follow the class room session. ****POSITIONS AVAILABLE AFTER THE CLASS WILL BE FOR EVENING AND NIGHT SHIFT****

Please indicate facility choice by 1st and 2nd preference. Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, Banner Desert Medical Center, Banner Mesa Medical Center, Banner Baywood Medical Center.

Qualifications :

Requirements include a current Arizona or other compact state RN license. New Graduates will be considered pending NCLEX. Must have highly interpersonal skills and demonstrate behaviors consistent with those identified as Banner Health Service Standards. If accepted for this program there is a service agreement required.
