Product Engineer

Position Summary
The person hired for this position will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and evaluating automated dispensing and inventory control systems. They will also be responsible for providing sustained engineering through out the products life.
Location: Bellevue, Washington
Responsibilities
Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost
Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status
Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product
Complete production reports, purchase orders, and material, tool, and equipment lists
Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards
Experience, knowledge, and qualifications
· BSCS, BSEE or technical degree required, advanced degree preferred
· 5+ years Engineering Experience, 3+ years Pharmacy automation engineering experience, 2+ years working with PLC based systems, and 2+ years working with embedded PC systems
· Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, which includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
· Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Self directed and results-oriented
· Able to accurately estimate development work base on written requirements
· Ability to work and lead effectively within a team
· Works autonomously, but also understands how to use team resources effectively
· Supports tam members to increase overall effectiveness of the team
· Able to work under pressure of deadlines
· Able to provide technical guidance to other team members
· Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, and SQL required; intermediate knowledge of PLC
