Tech Materials III

Overview : Provides support to the OR staff by stocking OR case carts, surgical instruments, sutures, equipment and other supplies for surgical procedures. Acts as liaison between the OR and Materials Mgmt for the OR cases. Also functions as Material tech II or I as necessary.

Provides support to the OR staff by stocking OR case carts, surgical instruments, sutures, equipment and other supplies for surgical procedures. Acts as liaison between the OR and Materials Mgmt for the OR cases. Also functions as Material tech II or I as necessary.

Qualifications :

Prefer previous Materials Management experience, including knowledge of surgical instrumentation, patient related supplies, materials, equipment, aseptic/decontamination techniques, and computer skills. Verbal communication, reading and writing English, able to interpret verbal and written information and instructions, able to express one clearly to provide information to others are necessary. Effective organizational, communication, and human relation skills are also necessary as the incumbent will be coordinating several projects simultaneously and working closely with department managers and all levels of staff. Must conduct oneself with a high degree of professionalism, and exhibit a positive attitude at all times. Must use proper body mechanics while carrying, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 400 pounds on wheels without assistance.
