Programmer Analyst

 

The person will be responsible for all aspects of ETL processes including design, development and implementation using Ascential Datastage. The person will be responsible for Production support and ongoing enhancements to the data warehouse. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of data warehouse implementation process, from business requirements through logical modeling, physical database design, data sourcing and data transformation, data loading, SQL, database and SQL performance tuning.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:
-Hands on development and troubleshooting with Ascential Datastage
-Production support for the Ascential Datastage ETL including supporting data loads in production data warehouse after implementation.
-Work closely with data warehouse architect and business intelligence analyst in developing solutions for business users
-Data modeling, design and development for the data warehouse
-Define and implement approaches to load and extract data from the database using Datastage
-Identification of source data and appropriate processes for extraction
-Application of business rules to ETL functions
-Analyze source system data structures and map them to target data warehouse schemas
-Must have excellent skills in requirements analysis, data assessment, and familiarity with data warehousing design concepts such as 3rd Normal Form and Dimensional modeling



 


3+ years ETL developer experience
2+ years DataStage experience
6+ months of DataStage Parallel Extender (Enterprise Edition), a plus
2+ years of QualityStage
2+ years Oracle Pl/SQL
Health Insurance experience a plus


Cobol a Plus
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishLOCAL CANDIDATES TO MILWAUKEE AREA PREFERRED.
