DST Health Solutions is currently seeking a Medical Coder.
Job Description
Responsible for coding CPT-4, ICD-9 and appropriate modifiers to billing records to the fullest extent possible, consistently and compliantly. Will use encoder to thoroughly code client billing records while using coding expertise to make the final decision. Meet quality and quantity metrics. Alert coding supervisor or manager to any issues that may be of concern or in potential violation of pertinent laws and regulations. Responsible for reviewing all pertinent periodicals provided by the coding manager and compliance officer. Responsible for the upkeep of credentials, including obtaining CEUs.

Qualifications
Job Requirements
CPC, RHIT, RHIA, or CCS-P preferred. Associates Degree in Health Information Management or similar degree required. 3-5 years experience in physician procedural coding. Successful completion of proficiency exam. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate thoughts effectively. Strong organizational skills. Basic PC skills. Basic knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology and medical terminology.
