Medical Asst/Occ Health Tech

Overview : Banner Occupational Health located at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center is looking for a full time occupational health technician. This position is scheduled days Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities :

Provides secretarial and clerical support which may include, but is not limited to, composing correspondence, maintaining/ordering office supplies, answering telephone calls, making appointments, coordinating meetings/travel arrangements, taking meeting minutes, maintaining files (which may be confidential in nature), making copies, sending faxes, data entry, etc.

Qualifications :

Must have completed a medical assistant course or possess medical assistant certification. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and one to two years related secretarial/clerical support experience. Excellent communication and human relations skills are necessary. The incumbent must have a strong knowledge of office practices and procedures, business terminology, excellent grammar and spelling, and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Must have ability to utilize word processing and other software applications. Must be able to work with periodic supervision. Must have the ability to word process with speed and accuracy. Good organizational skills are essential in prioritizing and coordinating various responsibilities simultaneously.
