Refracting Technician
LASIK MD is proud to announce the opening of our first clinic in the United States, in Syracuse New York. Central New York patients have been coming to our Quebec and Ontario locations for many years and will now have access to our services locally in New York State.

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our stimulating environment, working closely with Optometrists and Ophthalmologists. We currently have full time positions available for our upcoming location.
We are presently seeking motivated individuals for the Refracting Technician positions for our new Syracuse Clinic.
Reporting to the Center Director, the objective of the refracting technician is to provide quality service to potential and existing patients. This includes pre-op and post-op examinations. The refractive technician is to inform the patient about his surgeon and follow-up on their surgery appointment.
The technician projects an important image of LASIK MD in the eyes of the patients. The goal of the refracting technician is to ensure accurate pre-op and post-op examinations for every patient.
Major responsibilities include pre-op exams (i.e., refraction, eye dilation, and pupil measurements), surgery exam (i.e, manual refraction) and post-op exams (manual refraction, cornea exam). Post operative care after 24 hours, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months and annual.
Responsibilities:
Pre-op exams (refraction with the visiometre, eye dilation, pupil measurement)Surgery exam (manual refraction), measure the vertical heightPost-op exams (manual refraction, cornea exam; check cornea with the slit lamp)Any other task that is required to maintain quality service to our patients
