Skills:
A diploma/certification from an accredited Ophthalmic/Optometric/Optical technical program. OR two years of experience as a 1) practicing Optician, or 2) assisting in an Optometric/Ophthalmic practice. OR completion of the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology Certified Ophthalmic Assistant examination.
Description:
Davis Duehr Dean is the largest provider of eye care services in the Midwest! Immediate openings for Ophthalmic Assistants/Certified Ophthalmic Assistants/Certified Ophthalmic Technicians in a multi-specialty ophthalmic practice located in Madison and Sun Prairie, WI. Duties will include but not limited to: patient history, visual acuities, preliminary testing including tonometry and refractometry, neutralization of lenses, assisting in minor and refractive surgeries, Ascans, and blood pressures. In addition, responsibilities include surgical orders and related paperwork, patient education, and screening patient calls. Refractive Surgery knowledge preferred.
We have several full and part time positions available. Positions are Monday through Friday usually between the hours of 8am and 5pm with some variation in shifts-as early as 7am and as late as 6pm; no weekend or holidays at this time.
