Respiratory Care Practitioner II
Full Time Nights position.
16% shift differential
Benefits begin after 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities :

Under medical direction and by order of physician, performs a full range of respiratory therapeutic modalities and diagnostic measurements for patients requiring cardio-pulmonary services in both critical and non-critical care areas on all age groups except neonates. Accepts other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Education/Certificates/Licenses: High education. Completion of an AMA approved 1 or 2 year Respiratory Therapy Program. Current State of California RCP license. Successful completion of the NBRC CRT exam. Current BCLS. Current PALS.

Experience/Skills: Recent respiratory care experience in an acute care facility including adult critical care. Competent in the performance of oxygen and aerosol therapy, hyperventilation therapy, volume measuring devices, pulmonary medication delivery, sputum induction, chest physic-therapy, airway maintenance, emergency respiratory care equipment and procedures, arterial blood gas puncture and analysis. Competency in adult critical care procedures, including ventilator management and all its adjuncts.

Language Skills: Hear/speak adequately to communicate with and be understood by staff, patients, physicians and general public.
