Located in Barrow, Alaska, Samuel Simmonds Memorial Hospital is the primary healthcare facility for the North Slope region an area larger than Washington State and the largest municipality in the United States. Brief Summary:
Provide accurate, safe, efficient and cost effective pharmaceutical care to the patients of Samuel Simmonds Memorial Hospital and retail consumers, as well as providing pharmaceutical care to five outlying villages on the North Slope.

Qualifications:
1.Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy.
2.An advanced degree (Pharm D. or M.S.) and completion of a residency with a minimum of two years post-graduate clinical practice experience or equivalency.
3.Alaska State licensure to practice pharmacy and to dispense controlled substances (current DEA).
4.An Advanced Cardiac Life Support card; and active membership in both state and national pharmacy organizations are preferred.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1.Knowledge of current pharmaceuticals and dosages appropriate for geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, infant and neonatal patients.
2.Ability to convey age-specific information sufficient to provide adequate instructions to patients or parents and guardians of dependent patients regarding prescriptions.
3.Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws; knowledge of JCAHO Standards applicable to pharmacy operations.
4.Demonstrated proficiency in the following areas: customer service, problem-solving, and effective communication.
5.Proficient skills in the use of computers and office procedures. Familiarity with RPMS, QS1, EXCEL and Microsoft Word preferred




Salary of $51.00-$53.00/hr to start with a 4% increase in six months and annually
Non-obligatory relocation allowance of $4,500 for shipping personal items to Barrow
