ATTENTION: GERIATRIC, RENAL-DIABETES, FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONERS/UNIQUE JOB IN NICE AREA/TO $80,000+
UNIQUE, GROUND-FLOOR OPPORTUNITY FOR A HIGHLY-EXPERIENCED GERIATRIC, RENAL, OR SELECT FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER OR P.A. *** SALARY TO $80,000+ ***
The Nevins Group has been contracted to conduct an exclusive search for a Nurse Practitioner or P.A. for a highly-desirable and one-of-a-kind palliative care position in Wisconsin.
We are searching for a candidate who has at least 7-10+ years of Nurse Practitioner experience. The experience gained must be in the geriatric or renal care area (or another area dealing daily and extensively with chronic diseases and palliative care). We will be able to consider a Family Nurse Practitioner candidate if your past experience includes dedicated palliative care experience or dedicated geriatric experience (for instance, you rounded in a nursing home every day for 2 years, or your practice treated mostly geriatric patients).
This position is for a brand-new and exciting palliative care program. We have a longstanding relationship with this quality employer, and have placed a Nurse Practitioner who has been working successfully with the organization for several years. We spoke with her recently, and she is very happy at her position, saying it was "the best decision" she's made in a long time and that she's "very happy" working there.
You will work with a well-regarded physician with a big personality who is exceedingly generous and on top of things. The Nurse Practitioner we placed said, "He is the most generous and caring physician I've ever worked with." The culture of the organization is very patient-oriented. The doctor is compassionate, the staff is compassionate, and that's what we need in a new Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
You will be responsible for treating patients in a hospice program encompassing both inpatient and outpatient duties.
The work schedule will be Monday through Friday, dayshift, and you will work probably around 45-47 hours a week. Comparatively-light call is a possibility, but is not likely in your first year or two with this organization.
We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a "hospice heart"; we are looking for a candidate who truly cares about his or her patients. We seek a candidate with strong organizational abilities and exceptional diplomatic skills. Finally, you will need to have previous job tenures of at least 2-3 years on average, coupled with very positive references.
The pay is $65,000 to $80,000+, depending upon experience and other factors. In addition, relocation assistance of up to $5,000+ will also be provided. There's also discretionary year-end bonus $$, and a very generous retirement plan. All of the above is being offered in an area with a comparatively-low cost-of-living.
This undisclosed location in Southern Wisconsin is considered to be desirable and we've gotten very positive feedback on the area from the Nurse Practitioner whom we had previously placed.
There's a lot more to tell you about this position if you are a highly-experienced Mid-Level Provider seeking a career in a pretty part of Wisconsin, and we'd be more than happy to do so for qualified candidates, after reviewing your resume and cover letter. For immediate consideration, please email your presentation-quality resume as a Microsoft Word or RTF attachment to joel@nevinsgroup.com . Please include in the title of your email message, “Palliative Care NP/PA position-M8WI” and please include a short cover letter verifying you have the experience described above. Please note that information in this job description field below supercedes information in other parts of the job posting.
Thank you kindly for your interest, and for passing on this job posting to your Nurse Practitioner and P.A. colleagues who might be interested in this unique position!
Testimonial for Joel Nevins of The Nevins Group from an Advanced Practice Nurse whom we placed: "I had never worked with a search firm prior to [working with Joel of The Nevins Group]. Joel was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely conscientious in following-up on each detail of the job search process. His pleasant demeanor made a difficult decision-making process easier. I would recommend [their firm] to any of my nursing colleagues. Thanks again, Joel. A+ job!!"
