Scope and Responsibilities:Supervise laboratory personnel during daily activities.  Approve tissue donations, coordinate tissue placement, and release tissues to researchers.Maintain Standard Operating Procedures, controlled documents, departmental logbooks, and employee training manuals.Assist in company and departmental strategic development.Coach direct reports through goal development.Generally assist Lab Manager in all aspects of lab operation.

 

Qualifications:Someone who is passionate about advancing medical science.An individual who is self-motivated, can multitask, and adapts well to a fast paced quick changing environment.A team player who has the ability to lead, motivate, and develop their team.A minimum of 2 years successful management experience, healthcare or clinical setting preferred, but not required.Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) certification preferred, but not required.C.N.A., R.N., O.R. Tech, tissue banking, blood banking, EMT or similar healthcare industry experience preferred.
