LICENSED VOCATIONAL NURSE I - UROLOGY

Talbert Medical Group a physician owned medical multi-specialty group with ten convenient locations serving Orange and LA county is currently looking for an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse Ito join our nursing team in the Urology department at our Huntington Beach medical center location.



As LVN I; primarily responsible for the following:

 



Prepare treatment room for examination of patients; cleans examination room and sterilizes appropriate equipment after use. Review patient medical records, interview patients, measures vital signs, pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on computer (EMR). Patient education. Administer treatments, and performs routine laboratory tests under supervision of Physician, Allied Health Professional, RN. Administer prescribed medication orally or by injection (subcutaneous, intramuscular, intradermal) and documents time, dosage. Schedule patients for routine tests and follow up appointments. Inventory and order medical supplies and materials. Participate in training, education and in-service of staff.

 

Qualifications:

Qualifed LVN candidates will have current LVN license with minimum 2+ years of nursing experience, Urology experience a plus,IV certified, strong organization and time management skills, excellent patient care skills, computer proficient, experience with EMR a plus!

 

Position is M-F with no 12 hour shifts, weekends or evenings!
