Home Medical Equipment Tech

Overview : Full-time, M-F 8:30-5:00 with rotating call weekends and weeknights.

Responsibilities :

This position will assist the HME Supervisor to ensure all home medical equipment and supply needs are met according to established protocols and policies. The technician coordinates with department co-workers to perform the preventative maintenance and equipment repair activities on all equipment within the department. This would include deliveries and pick ups to/from customer's homes and hospitals; performing and communicating the follow-up of any manufacturers' equipment recall in collaboration with the Supervisor and Director. This position provides after hours on call duties as scheduled ensuring the agency meets its goal and obligations to the community.

Qualifications :

High school graduation or equivalency, 2 years of previous experience in an equipment /supply provision position, medical equipment, insurance processing, and medical terminology preferred.

Technical Skills: Basic math skills, ability to communicate oral and written English language to understand and be understood., organizational skills, problem solving skills, computer skills to include the ability to access, manipulate, organize, and relay information in meaningful ways using e-mail, basic Microsoft programs and internet.

Other qualifications/certificate/license: Current provider level for all ages BLS certification. Valid State Drivers License. Proof of automobile insurance that meets at least the minimum state mandated insurance requirements.
