Proposal Specialist

Objective: This position works directly with sales teams, customers and executive management to lead the sales response, business case, and/or proposal process. The position requires leading execution on document delivery to enable the sales process, working with multiple people and organizations, within tight deadlines. In addition, the position will support the creation of proposal content, structuring the overall response framework, and ensuring all requirements are met. The ability to multi-task is critical. The position requires ability to recognize resources necessary for proposal completion, within the company as well as with third parties. The position will also identify methods of increasing speed of delivery without compromising quality. The position requires an understanding of ERP and/or SAP market. Position Responsibilities: - Leads and drives the document response for the sales deal; Defines roles; Leverages SAP resources strategically; Develops internal relationships with the field organization, Value Engineering and other organizations - Collaborates with others to collects document content and win strategy from sales team, packages into content to persuade; Demonstrates content understanding to ensure comprehensive and differentiating response to the customer - Writes cover letters, content and summaries for the sales teams & senior management, drafts text and layouts for customer proposals, presentations & other documents, presents alternatives for content presentation such as multi-media - Leads proposal team to deliver responses that meet the sales team needs - Is a subject matter expert in finding content for responses and has access to experts for broader topics, is an expert in content location within SAP infrastructure, ensures proposal infrastructure is always updated - Organizes time to meet deadlines, works with team to ensure delivery, ensures content updated in infrastructure, responds promptly to all requests - Is comfortable with taking unstructured information, knowledge, conversations and content and formatting into a persuasive response to the customer - Works at understanding what a trusted advisor is to the extended sales team. Basic Qualifications: Requires 5 to 7+ years proposal writing experience; 5+ years experience managing contracts and 5+ years of professional experience within the government sector Travel Requirements: 20-30%
