Environmental Compliance Specialist
Introduction:
PWT is seeking a recent college graduate with environmental degree or related degree with at least 5-7 years of environmental experience and an understanding of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) . Knowledge or background in storm water management and protection programs, spill prevention management and implementation a plus. Background in performance of RCRA RFI and remediation programs a plus. Candidate is required to be a self motivated and support EMS program development and training. Candidate should be in a position to do management of small projects.
Essential Functions:
Ř Assist federal client on Sustainability & EMS programs
Ř Lead teams to implement environmental programs such as green purchasing
Ř Create and submit Annual Reports for Storm Water and MS4 Permits.
Ř Conduct field inspections to ensure Best Management Practices are followed under the Storm Water Management Plan
Ř Assistance in maintaining and updating Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure Plan (SPCC) Plan
Ř Manage a several-100 volume library of program reports
Ř Writing and editing environmental articles for internal newsletters
Skills/Requirements:
For consideration for this position candidates must have:
Degree in Environmental Science or a related field.5 to 7 years of progressively more complex experience in relevant areaKnowledge of EMS, Storm Water Management, SPCC plans, environmental sampling or chemistry is preferred.Proficient in the use of computer software, in particular Microsoft Office Strong organizational, interpersonal, public speaking and communication skills.Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and work independently or as part of a team.Ability to travel.Punctual and reliable.

Job Location: Lakewood, CO (no relocation expenses)
