Chief Compliance Officer

Chief Compliance Officer (CCO)

The CCO is responsible for the planning, oversight and management of a staff of 100 employees (including three Associate Staff Directors) in the Audit Division, Reports Analysis Division, Office of Administrative Review and the Office of Alternative Dispute Resolution. 

 

Responsibilities:

 Assisting the Staff Director in policy development and strategic planning Serving as a senior advisor to the Staff Director, General Counsel, the Commissioners and other Commission management officials in matters relating to the agency’s Disclosure, Compliance and Public Financing ProgramsProviding vision and leadership to all compliance programsPreparing reports for submission to the CommissionEnsuring compliance with Federal and FEC policy in all phases of program and staff management

 

Qualifications Criteria:

 

Experience from a Federal, State, or local agency or private sector organization at the GS-15 (or equivalent) level in the following:

 Proven disclosure, compliance and public financing management experience at an executive level within the public or private sectorDemonstrated experience leading and managing an auditing function within a complex organizationKnowledge of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practices and appropriate usesStrong leadership and interpersonal communication skillsPresident’s Management Agenda experience, with a focus on development of strategic and operating plans in an auditing and/or enforcement environment.Ability to lead and motivate agency managers to incorporate vision, strategic planning, and quality management into the full range of Commission activitiesDemonstrated skill in developing and delivering oral and written presentations as well as making recommendations on management issues in concise and convincing languageMinimum of a B.S. Degree preferred; Advanced Degree or professional certification is strongly desiredA comprehensive background investigationMust be a U.S. Citizen
