Prime Mortgage Collector

As a Collector, you will collect past due amounts on mortgage and/or home equity loans, working with more difficult accounts (long term delinquent accounts and those not paid as promised.) This will entail negotiating payment arrangements, offering suggestions to customers on how to meet their obligations and advising them as to the possible consequences of not meeting the obligations. You may also help develop restructuring plans to assist clients in resolving delinquency and avoiding foreclosure.


 


Responsibilities include varied and moderately involved assignments. Incumbents may exercise some judgment in selecting from a set of prescribed procedures. Provides general clerical support to department or area. May compile data, produce reports, resolve errors, make calculations and/or adjustments to customers' accounts. May access on-line computer systems to input or retrieve information. May have contact with internal/external customers to perform duties and/or resolve recurring problems. May make standard computations. Position usually requires basic knowledge of policies, procedures, products, services, and internal operations of specific department. Works under general supervision. Works alone on routine duties but refers non routine situations to supervisor.


 


EARN UP TO 500$ IN MONTHLY BONUS





 




































 High school diploma or GED required


At least 1 year of collections or telemarketing experience preferred

Must be able to work Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm for the first few weeks during training

Complete knowledge of relevant federal regulations and/or the Fair Debt Collection Protection Act preferred

Ability to learn rules, regulations, laws and methods of collection, skip tracing and due diligence

Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiating skills

Ability to work well on a team and focus on results; adaptable and flexible

Solid PC experience and typing skills
