JOB PURPOSE:
Primary responsibilities will focus on ensuring accurate costing and developing/maintaining appropriate product costing systems, both in the US and Asia. Related to this area of focus will be fulfilling the role of financial liaison with Durel China. Responsibilities will also include monthly worldwide closing assistance and PeopleSoft implementation.

JOB DUTIES:
Performs ongoing cost analysis to ensure accurate worldwide inventory valuation. Functions as accounting liaison with Asian operations to ensure accurate worldwide financial reporting and consistent financial internal controls. Provides extensive analysis and explanation of the division’s Asian financial results on an ongoing basis. Assists in monthly worldwide financial closing. Implements improved cost estimating techniques within the division to ensure the quoting of profitable business. Assists in division implementation of PeopleSoft information systems.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance plus 3 to 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, MS Office proficiency. Travel will be significant, with 3 to 4 trips to China per year, with the potential of an eventual short-term assignment in Suzhou China lasting 6 to 12 months. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters degree in Account/Finance/Business plus 3-5 years product costing experience, PeopleSoft experience, Asian travel experience.
