Tactical Systems Division - Network Management SW IPT Lead / APM

 

Candidate must possess significant military software system development experience and have served previously in one or more critical leadership roles on a large, IPT-based project. Specific development experience in the Network Management domain is desired. Experience in interfacing with customers through all phases (effort definition, proposal, execution, risk assessment, etc.) is required. Ability to define and expand new and evolving approaches and provide technical and programmatic leadership to system and software engineering is required.

 

Candidate will be responsible for leading the effort of a Network Management team. This includes definition of the technical scope, activities to accomplish scope, cost account management, schedule management, risk identification, and management, staffing, training, inter-IPT coordination to accomplish activities, and close interaction with the customer to ensure expectations are met.



Experience in the following areas is required:


· Minimum 10 years experience in technical management for real-time system life cycle, including specification, design, development, integration, testing, and support.


· Requires proven ability to cooperate with government program offices to cooperatively develop system designs.


· Minimum 5 years of experience as a cost manager.


· Ability to define requirements, translate requirements to architecture and software designs, identify and design test programs and lead software/hardware integration teams


· Strong background required in a significant subset of the following:  Earned value, Risk Management, Basis of Estimate development and justification, CAIV, Integrated Management Schedule (IMS/IMP).


· Minimum 10 years experience as a technical team lead of a 20+ person group.


· Minimum overall experience required is 15 years.


· Experience in communications or data systems design and integration desired.


· Experience with military tactical data communications desired.
