Wet Chemistry Analyst

There is an immediate opening for a Wet Chemistry Analyst in the Bothell Laboratory. This is a full-time, hourly position. The work schedule for the position will be Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM . Overtime may be required due to business needs. The Wet Chemistry Analyst reports directly to the Inorganics Department Manager.

The responsibilities for this position are as follows:

· Perform a variety of water and soil analyses by Wet Chemistry methods using Ion Chromatography.

· Carry out detailed preparation and analysis steps according to published analytical methods and

standard operating procedures.

· Report and review data, ensuring data meets quality control criteria.

· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on instrumentation.

· Comply with all Quality Assurance and Health & Safety policies.

The qualification for this position are as follows:

· B.S./B.A. in Chemistry, Biology, or related field with a minimum of 6 months laboratory experience

· Knowledge of EPA Methods

· Ability to meet QC criteria

· Possess strong organization and documentation skills including an attention to detail

· Work productively in a team environment

· Have a sense of urgency and able to work under time constraints

· Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
