Senior Hydrogeologist

Heindel and Noyes, a private environmental consulting and engineering firm. is seeking a Senior Hydrologeologist for our Burlington, Vermont office. 

 

Job Description

Position involves overseeing and conducting hydrogeologic investigations that may include surface water and groundwater sources.  Project work may include: fracture trace analysis, identifying and developing potential well locations, conducting well/aquifer tests, overseeing well drilling and installation of groundwater supply/monitoring wells, permitting of water supply and wastewater systems and other environmental work as necessary. Responsibilities are expected to include project planning, project execution (both field and office work), and preparing reports. As senior staff member, position involves preparing cost proposals, budgeting and scheduling, and managing small project teams.

 

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree, Masters preferred, in geology, engineering or science and at least two years’ professional experience required. Ideal candidate will have a diversified knowledge of hydrogeologic principles and practices, with extensive experience in field exploration procedures.  Groundwater and stormwater modeling experience helpful but not required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed. Must be able to work independently as well as be a member of a team.
