P/T Environmental Protection Training & Opportunities

 

Make a full time difference in your community and for the environment one weekend a month and two weeks each year.  The U.S. Coast Guard Reserve has immediate openings for individuals dedicated to protecting the environment and safety of our nations waterways.

 

No Experience Necessary.  You will attend a seven week course that will teach you the skills necessary to become a Marine Environmental Specialist.  Your primary duties will include:

 

§ Pollution Incident Investigations

§ Monitoring Pollution Cleanups

§ Conducting Foreign Vessel Boardings to Enforce Pollution and Navigation Safety Laws

§ Harbor Patrols

§ Facility Inspections

§ Supervision of Explosives Loading

*All candidates applying for enlistment into the Armed Forces (U.S. Coast Guard, Air Force, Navy, Army and Marine Corps) must meet basic age, physical, mental, civil, and citizenship eligibility criteria.  Qualification for enlistment also requires passing an Armed Service Vocational Aptitude Battery, (ASVAB) and physical exam.  Contact your local recruiter for qualifications.
