Environmental Project Engineer

ITS Corporation provides superior engineering and information technology services and solutions to the Federal, Intelligence and Homeland Security agencies.

 

We currently have an Environmental Project Engineer position available at our jobsite working in the Scientific Data Management Program for the Northwest Fisheries Science Center in North Seattle, WA.

 

This position will work with natural resource and scientific data from numerous agencies and external sources related to salmon recovery under the Endangered Species Act as well as support the migration and integration of data between the Science Center and Northwest Regional Offices, external data providers and users.

 

Duties include:

 

Completing detailed project plans to ensure that the project is managed according to established QA/QC data framework.  Devise strategies to measure data quality and link metadata repositories across multiple data sources/centers and implement a communication strategy to measure progress.  Work with numerous data suppliers, data users, stewards, application development team, and senior level management and scientists for QA/QC of data from current databases.

 

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills:

 

·  BS degree in Computer Engineering or related field.

·  MS Office Suite and MS Project experience essential.

·  Excellent coordination and communication skills.

·  Extensive project management experience.

·  Knowledge of ESRI Metadata ArcCatalog, Oracle Designer and Case Repository, Oracle Collaboration Suite, FGDC Metadata and DataFlux experience would be helpful.
