The RETEC Group, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Compliance Consultant to support our compliance and environmental management system (EMS) practice from our Long Beach office.

Tasks will include a variety work scopes related to compliance services such as:compliance auditing, site inspections, SPCC and SWPP compliance, NPDES permitting and monitoring, hazardous and non-hazardous waste management and reporting, records and document management and EMS audits, assessments and consulting support.

The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and 4 to 7 years of experience in the environmental industry. A degree in engineering or in the natural or applied sciences is required. Previous compliance management experience is required. Previous industry experience with railroads, petroleum or manufacturing clients is preferred. The position requires excellent communication and time management skills and a positive can do attitude. The ability to travel up to two weeks at a time representing up to 25% total time is expected.
