ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES AIDE

We are searching for two Environmental Services Aides to work on a per diem basis.

 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Selects cleaning materials and supplies, and prepares solutions according to procedures.Sweeps and mops floor areas, vacuums carpets, arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion after cleaning assigned area.Cleans equipment and notifies supervisor if repairs are needed.Collects and distributes soiled or clean linen as requested or required.Cleans room after patient has been discharged.Keeps updated on hospital and departmental Policies and Procedures, makes constructive suggestions, recommendations and exhibits a positive attitude towards patients, co-workers, visitors, medical staff and management.Performs all other duties as assigned or required.

 

REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to communicate in English.Knowledge of hospital cleaning and previous housekeeping experience preferred.Must be able to follow instructions regarding the handling of cleaning material as described on the material safety data sheets instructions.
