Sr. Design Engineer Electronics

 

POSITION SUMMARY:Serves as technical expert in engineering speciality and as primary responsibility for the design and development of a major electronics based product line. Directs responsibility for these products to generate the greatest return for Cooper Power Systems commensurate with a high level of customer satisfaction. Integrates low power processor controlled electronics for use within the high power electrical environment. Develops and utilizes computer design and production programs (Pro-E 3D Cad and OrCAD). Design and develop circuitry and electronic devices.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 BSEE. Advanced engineering courses or degrees desirable. 5-12 years of professional experience in engineering, including experience with electronics, electrical power equipment, it’s use and manufacture. Demonstrated leadership capability, experience in coordinating/completing complex electronic projects. 7-10 years of hardware design experience with analog, digital and microcomputer components. 7-10 years experience with programming microcomputers using assembly language and C. Proficiency with other programming languages desired. Power Systems experiencce a real plus.
