CT Image Quality Systems Engineer

CITY: Waukesha STATE: Wisconsin COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Join the GE Healthcare Global CT business to develop world-class CT scanner systems.
As an Image Quality Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for advanced imaging algorithm development and delivery of GE Healthcare's breakthrough advancements in CT image quality and imaging performance. Work with customers, researchers and cross-functional design team members to develop image quality roadmap, develop and implement new or improved imaging algorithms and to
develop system requirements and system design to achieve CT product imaging goals. Establish and drive collaborative research. Be part of the systems team to integrate and test CT systems.
Support customers, field service and manufacturing teams by resolving imaging issues and providing corrective and preventative actions (quality improvements, trending and analysis) to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications/Requirements:
*MS Physics/Engineer (ME, EE, Biomed) or related technical discipline (e.g. Applied Mathematics)
*Knowledge of image generation methods and signal processing
*Proven ability to drive resolution of challenging problems and deliver timely and effective design solutions
*Experience with analysis/simulation software (e.g. MATLAB/IDL).
*Willing to work out of our Milwaukee, WI locations
*Willing to travel occasionally (varies from 0% to 20% depending upon the particular program requirements)
*Wiling to submit to a background investigation and drug screen

Desired:
* Ph.D. Physics/Engineering/Biomedical or related technical discipline (e.g. Applied Mathematics).
* 3 years Medical imaging system development/R&D experience.
* Understanding of CT systems.
* Knowledge of X-Ray tubes, collimator, detector and DAS subsystems
* Project leadership experience and experience interfacing with customers and manufacturing.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
