Position Title: Sr. Manufacturing Engineer – Testing & Controls
Position Summary:
This Manufacturing Engineer assignment is for the senior engineering member of the Testing &
controls team at our Pewaukee manufacturing facility.
Position Responsibilities:Designs electrical/electronic systems for assembly production testing and process ControlsProvide technical support and resolves production test problems, including management of corrective action plans. Insures that test methods meet all Cooper and industry requirements. Focuses on continuous improvement efforts for production testing and process controls. Develops equipment troubleshooting/maintenance procedures. Provides training for production utility operators and maintenance personnel Supervises manufacturing Engineering Technician, including; placement interviews, training, performance appraisals, goal setting and establishing work assignments Completion of the capital project requests and installation of corona detectorsInstallation and re-layout of new test methods
Position Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related Electrical fieldMinimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Manufacturing EngineeringA strong background in PLC controlsA strong background in manufacturing product testing processesAbility to work with limited, direct supervision, and good communication skills requiredWorking knowledge of business systems such as SAP, Excel, and Microsoft Office / Windows are required to utilize database, spreadsheet, and word processing programs for presentations, CAD programs, and to access data / information from the LANShould have familiarity with computer systems such as; Visual Basic, Quick Basic, DOS, HTML, Cold fusion, SQL. Labview experience is a strong plus.Experience in Hi-Pot and Corona testing
