Position Description:
Chevron Products Company is accepting online applications for a Space Planner (0609-50163080) located in San Ramon, California through October 27, 2006.
Position is based in San Ramon, CA and involves working with Category Managers in determining the location of key categories, necessary space allocation and fixture positioning. Uses JDA space planning software tools to planogram all products for all store configurations. Also works with Field in coordinating store resets.
Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Support category planning process and franchise development with market and internal data analysis and reporting using AC Nielsen’s C-Store Planner, Catmando and the JDA application suite.
- Analyze consumer and market data to ensure that customer needs and market opportunities are reflected in the layouts, assortment plans and planograms developed. Maintain accurate consumer decision trees for all categories to support assortment and placement tactics.
- Develop optimum category clustering groups.
- Build, analyze and recommend cluster level efficient item assortment plans that support franchise and category strategies.
- Build, analyze and recommend space allocations, product placement and adjacencies for total store and within departments (cold vault, center of store, food service, front counter, etc).
- Build, analyze and recommend fixtures, planograms, core and balance lists and add and delete lists for all categories and fixtures for all store configurations
- Provide timely updates to planograms and floor plans as required by the merchandising and franchise team.
- Work with Category Managers, suppliers, price book and IT to maintain an accurate and up-to-date product data base and fixture library for all JDA applications.
- Maintain accurate store layouts and fixture positioning.
- Build new floor plans for new non-standard franchise or COCO stores added to the network.
- Support new or fixture change initiatives through floor planning analysis, reporting and recommendations.
- Publish and communicate Category Manager approved planograms and reports to stores via Web Publisher application.
- Provide planogram compliance reporting to Merchandising and Franchising teams.
- Build and communicate store level Keep, Add, Delete lists and coordinates store resets.
- Provide new item placement and planogram analysis and recommendations to Category Managers.
SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS OR ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS/INFORMATION:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business/IT.
- Minimum 2 years space planning experience and knowledge of merchandising.
