Sales Engineer Western Region and South Region
Waltron, L.L.C. (www.waltron.net), a leading producer of industrial on-line quality water chemistry instrumentation for power plants, is looking for a seasoned sales engineer to sell its analyzers in its Southern or in the Western United States Region.
Waltron offers a wide range of instrumentation for ultra-pure and other industrial & municipal water chemistry applications. In 2003, Waltron celebrated its 100th anniversary as one of the world's oldest, most experienced water chemistry companies. Waltron started in 1903 with chemists who introduced drinking water chlorination to a range of clients before the first city-wide chlorination system in the US was installed. Since then Waltron has been at the forefront of many technical innovations. Waltron is today a major US supplier of dissolved oxygen, sodium, ammonia, copper, hydrazine, oil in water, phosphate and silica on-line water quality analyzers to the power generation industry..
Home Base: the South US or the Southwestern US
Education: Bachelors in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related majors
Experience:
At least 3 to 5 years sales experience of instruments, technical/capital equipments or valve related products. Candidate should have sold to such markets as: power generation, pulp & paper, chemical processing, refineries or similar markets.
Skills:
Very strong computer aptitude (knowledge of ACT is a plus), strong communication, presentation, organization, sales, application engineering
Personal:
Driver, results driven, likes to get hands dirty, independent and autonomous but at the same time communicates very well to all parties, strong work ethics.
The Waltron Sales Engineer, will need to reach instrument and spares sales quotas as pre-agreed while maximizing profitability of the region. He/she will ensure maximum customer satisfaction through balanced use of in-house assistance capabilities and self trouble shooting (on-site or phone) for more basic instrument issues. Tech service activities average 10 to 20% of the time and are used to leverage more sales. More extensive technical issues are then handled by Waltron’s technical service staff in New Jersey. He/she will focus on power generation industry and chemical industries as a second tier market
Compensations structure:
Base salary + monthly commission
401K and profit sharing.
All business trip expenditures paid for. Note book computer, cell phone, training in NJ. No paid relocation.
