Reactor Operator Trainee

The Operations Department is seeking motivated individuals to become Reactor Operator Trainees. This is a training position for individuals who have held an NRC reactor operator or senior reactor operator license. Individual must complete qualifications and required time on site at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station to be considered for admission into the license training program.

 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent. Detailed knowledge and understanding of nuclear plant mechanical and electrical systems, technical specifications, governmental regulations, operating processes and procedures. A valid NRC Reactor Operator (RO) license or Senior Reactor (SRO) license is preferred.  Must pass Edison Electric Institute POSS (Power Operation Selection System) test.
