Onsite Data Manager - Site Lead for Calgary Canada

Reports to Regional Service Delivery Manager (RSDM)
Business Purpose Technical role on the Petrotechnical helpdesk, onsite at Customer premise
Act as the focal point for all data management and 3rd party application support issues, services and projects within the site.
Promote the use of standardized software and services to deliver improved data management solutions, tailored to the needs of the site, but operating within the global standard framework.
Co-ordinate the on-site, regional and offshore service delivery teams to ensure that the services are meeting or exceeding the client needs.
Define and implement data management best practices and identify areas for improvement.
Identify project opportunities, define and win such project work, and coordinate successful completion of same.

Accountabilities
Accountabilities that Determine Time Span t Global Data Management Project (Present through 2008)
Primary Accountabilities
• Provide domain knowledge to the onsite team and Customer organization
• Manage Data (preparation, loading, archiving, distribution, tracking and quality control)
• Provide 3rd party (non-Landmark) application support
• Identify opportunities for value-added project work to support both the site and Regional and Global initiatives
• Coordinate and contribute to the definition, capture and successful execution of such projects
• Operate at the tactical and proactive level focusing on continuous improvement and user satisfaction
• Interact directly with users and share best practices
• Meet client Service Level Requirements
• Review results and report to the RSDM
• Facilitate staff training
• Coordinate with the Regional and Offshore Support Centers
• Ensure alignment with Global Data Management standards & strategy
• Identify business opportunities with Customer for additional scope
• Adhere to client HSE policies and procedures
Skilled Knowledge
Education
Desired A degree in a petroleum related or equivalent discipline
Minimum
Background/Experience
Desired Already working in a similar role within an oil or services company for 10-15 years
Minimum

Technical Competencies t Expert knowledge of G&G applications
t Expert in all types of industry data including seismic, well, production, culture and lease data
t Effective use of Microsoft Office and internal productivity tools
t Good analytical and problem solving skills
t Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening)
t Comprehensive knowledge of E&P Oil Field Life Cycle
t Ability to set appropriate expectations with clients
t Practical understanding of financial reporting
t Practical experience in project management
