Position Description:
Chevron Products Company (GDREF) is accepting online applications for the Manager-Technology Development (0610-50043959) located in Richmond, California through October 20, 2006.
Manager of Technology Development, Global Refining. In this position you will coordinate the process R&D programs for Chevron Global Refining, working for the General Manager of Technology. You will directly oversee Chevron’s hydroprocessing R&D including resid conversion, distillate and Gas-to-Liquids hydrocracking and ISODEWAXING. You will interact closely with the Process, Analytical and Catalysis Department in Chevron’s Energy Technology Company.
Qualifications:
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Desired experience and skils:
- Advanced degree in chemical engineering and/or deep understanding of and experience in technology and tech development activities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a technology organization, set long term vision, motivate workforce and drive implementation.
- Demonstrated leadership in building caring safety culture and effective Operational Excellence processes.
- Experience supervising a large (30+) group of technical personnel.
- Business acumen and ability to focus technology development efforts with a view to improving the bottom line.
- Experience with refinery processes and in dealing with Joint Ventures.
SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS OR ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS/INFORMATION:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Chemical Engineering. Masters/PhD preferred.
- Relocation benefits will be considered.
- Expatriate Assignment will be considered.
- This is a safety sensitive Position.
