We are seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Maintenance Planner for our Maintenance Services department in Diablo Canyon Power Plant located in Avila Beach, CA.
INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROLS MAINTENANCE PLANNER
Responsibilities:
· Develop technically accurate instrumentation & controls discipline-related corrective maintenance work instructions and packages using applicable engineering drawings, vendor recommendations, and other specifications. Develop preventative maintenance and routine tasks maintenance work instructions and packages in the Instrumentation & Controls discipline. Develop technically accurate maintenance work instructions and packages for Instrumentation & Controls discipline related design changes and plant modifications. The work plans include specifying required parts and material, coordination of support activities, the use of industrial safety practices, and human performance error reduction techniques.
· Support the daily and outage work control process by meeting process milestones, managing work load, and satisfying activity due dates, completing work documents, attending meetings and training, and maintaining required qualifications. Participate in performance improvement processes.
Essential/Required:
· Completion of Instrumentation Technician apprenticeship program; OR five (5) years’ instrumentation trade experience and a high school diploma or equivalent; OR two years’ experience in maintenance, engineering or nuclear plant operations with an associate’s degree in engineering or related physical science; OR 1 years’ experience in maintenance, engineering or nuclear plant operations with an Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related physical science.
· Work control process understanding
· Instrumentation and controls drawings, schematics, and other technical material understanding
· Knowledgeable in the Instrumentation & Controls maintenance discipline such as plant monitoring, control, computer, alarm and indicating systems; temperature, pressure, level, and flow control & indicating systems; and digital and analog computer controls.
· Ability to work nights and weekends, when requested, to support plant needs.
· Ability to walk through the plant and climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs
· Ability to work in various climate environment
· Basic word processing or spreadsheet skills
Marginal/Desired:
· Basic Microsoft Access and Excel skills
