Coordinator Job Family RSOW - DD - Gentry, AR

Position Duties

The Coordinator reports to the Regional Production Support Supervisor and is responsible for supervising, planning, scheduling and coordinating procurement and tooling activities of outage and project work. Provides leadership by example. The position will develop, maintain and enforce safe working conditions by providing proper job briefing, JSA, adequate tooling, equipment, PPE and devices for crews. Reports on inventory, budget and schedule to RPSS, Zone Superintendent, and Region Manager as requested. Communicate the importance of safety and fill out proper job histories on an ongoing basis. Responsible for preparing reports for job history retention.

Each of the positions in the Coordinator job family is responsible to the assigned supervisor to perform work activities and projects requiring technical knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives.

1. Perform varied assignments demonstrating technical knowledge and analytical techniques to solution of problems or analysis.

2. Participate in the planning and organization of outage/project work activities.

3. Apply problem solving skills to resolve technical problems and initiate solution techniques.

4. Demonstrate the ability to make decisions and contribute to team decision making and consensus building.

5. Perform work in a safe manner and in accordance with the System Safety Process.

6. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Listen and identify customer needs/wants. Effectively communicate with team, management, customers, contractors, vendors and regulatory agencies.

7. Lead, facilitate and monitor labor relation activities; develop and maintain rapport to assure cooperation and productive working relationships with contractors.

8. Demonstrate an attitude and desire to listen to and satisfy both internal and external customers who use and depend upon our work.

9. Work with others in both supplying information and seeking assistance as necessary.

10. Provide training and guidance to lower level employees as appropriate.

11. Demonstrate the ability to be a team player and contribute to team goals.

12. Pursue effective ways to protect and enhance the environment while providing reliable electricity at a competitive cost.

13. Comply with and support ethically sound behavior and instill a sense of shared accountability among employees.

 

Work Hours / Travel Requirements

24/7/365 Some travel = 10%

 

Education Requirements

High School Education

Experience Requirements

Basic computer skills required. Associate or Technical degree preferred. 7 Years experience in Power Plant maintenance. 3 Years directly supervising Outage and Project work. 2 Years overseeing variable work force including Foreman and craft employees in a Coal Plant setting. Must have knowledge of Coal plant typical tooling requirements.

 

Special Qualifications (Training, Skills ETC.)

Coal plant knowledge and experience. In depth knowledge of tooling. Must have the ability to deal with large variations of people and work scopes on a daily basis. Must be able to multi task and deal with many people at one time to procure work scopes and adequately put together a plan in a timely manner to insure proper tooling, equipment, rentals, and PPE are in place at all times. Must be able to articulate the plan so that it is implemented and executed in a smooth effective manner. Basic computer skills a must. Must have the ability to read and understand written work assignments. Coal plant experience required.
