Central Maintenance Wind Technician

Position Description: Under direct supervision, perform regular preventive maintenance and repair  activities on wind turbine generators including lubrication, gear-box tear-downs. Perform electronic and mechanical troubleshooting activities as required. Attend regular safety meetings and follow appropriate company safety and environmental policies. Operate, maintain, and manage utility truck and tool inventory. Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 100 feet from the ground surface.

 

Position Requires: High school diploma or equivalent. Regular travel away from the home site to any and all FPLE Wind sites as needed to support Central Maintenance activities. Ideal candidate will possess basic mechanical skills to perform preventive maintenance, repairs & retrofits, and electrical troubleshooting on wind turbines, working at heights of up to 300' Work Schedule: 7:00am - 3:30pm, M-F, some weekends and overtime as required.
