VP - Product Marketing/Development

A well funded start-up is looking for a VP of Product Development based in Southern California or Mainland Europe, reporting directly to the CEO to take full ownership for the strategic direction of the product roadmap, you will be an experienced semiconductor Product Marketing professional with at least 8 years experience & successful history of defining and bringing new products to market. Beneficial to have previous experience of network processors, digital multimedia software stacks or consumer electronics


 

You will report directly to the CEO.  In this key position you will take full ownership for defining the strategic direction of our client's product roadmap, working with engineering groups in defining new products and managing all aspects regarding the product's launch into the marketplace.  You will develop strategic relationships where required and work throughout the ecosystem in ensuring that relationships are leveraged and developed to their full potential, market trends are clearly understood and reflected within mid and long-term roadmaps. Your primary goal is to increase market share and broaden our client's global Tier 1 customer base thorugh the introduction of new products.

The successful candidate will be:

Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or similar
An experienced Product Marketing professional with a c8 years experience or more within the semiconductor industry and a successful history of defining and bringing new products to market.
Able to demonstrate a history of winning new customers/and or increasing market share with new product strategies/developments
Have previous semiconductor experience of network processors or digital multimedia software stacks.

Finally previous consumer electronics experience would also be significantly advantageous and this role will require significant travel, >60%.
