Senior PC Board Designer

We are looking for an experienced Senior P.C. Board Designer to join the Emerson team at our Madison, WI facility.

Job Summary/Purpose: Responsible for all aspects of printed circuit board (PCB) design in the I/O products development group. Provide PCB design requirements. Perform highly complex multi-layer PCB design and coordinate technical reviews of PCB designs.


Position Responsibilities:
• Review and interpret specifications and standards.
• Generate PCB design requirements.
• Create highly complex PCB Designs.
• Act as a mentor to less experienced PCB designers.
• Provide PCB-related guidance to hardware engineers

Job Qualifications and Requirements:
Associate’s degree in a computer-related field, or equivalent. IPC Designers Council certification is desirable. 5+ years of experience in PCB design. An advanced level of PCB design ability, including knowledge of DFM and DFT. Able to work independently and budget time among several tasks. Process improvement, pcb design task scheduling, and strong communication skills required. Knowledge of PC software tools for PCB design (Pads and Expedition experience preferred).
