JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Primary responsibility will be to repair SUAV products in our SUAV Systems facility following released engineering drawings and assembly rework instructions using our repair work order system.
· Specific duties will be assigned within this group of activities based on actual experience and Customer requirements.
· Cross training is highly encouraged.
· Assembly/repair of wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
· Hand soldering of through hole and / or surface mount pcba’s.
· Hand soldering connections to pcba’s or mechanical subsystems.
· Mechanical disassembly and assembly of subassemblies using hand and/or power tools.
· Disassembly and final assembly of ground control equipment, and air vehicles.
· Testing and troubleshooting of electronics subassemblies and final assemblies including RF hardware.
· Works with Repair Technicians and Engineering to correct and improve upon any documents related to the repair and/or assembly process at the required high quality standard.
· Responsible for ensuring that repair work order and AVOLS protocols are followed and that work order paperwork is completed as the work is performed.
· Will be trained initially on a particular product or repair process.
· May also be tasked with training other technicians to repair a product or follow an established repair process.
· Conducting in-process quality checks to ensure that items repaired to established high quality standards.
· Working with engineering to improve repair/assembly efficiency, improve product quality and reduce costs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND:
· A High School diploma or equivalent is desirable.
· Any electronics education or solder certification is a real plus.
· This position requires a minimum of 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment in either electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test.
· Prior Repair experience is a definite plus.
· Ability to test and troubleshoot RF hardware.
· Ability to hand solder; mil spec experience/certification preferred.
· Ability to read blueprints desired.
· Ability to read schematics a plus.
· Familiarity with commercial electronics building practices desired.
· Must be able to work in a team environment.
· Ability to take responsibility for quality of work performed.
· Experience with hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, and torque wrenches.
· Experience with power tools and air tools desirable.
· Familiarity with ESD practices a plus.
· Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision.
· Must have good oral and written communication skills.
· Must be able to communicate effectively with employees in the Company.
· Ability to analyze and solve problems.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
· Should be able to work with engineering on new product development efforts where documentation and assembly instructions are not yet finalized.
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
· A considerable amount of time will be spent standing, bending over, and kneeling, whilst building a variety of electro-mechanical assemblies.
· Working with ESD sensitive electronics and composites in our SUAV production facility
· Products are subject to ITAR restrictions.
