Production Electronic Technician

Everett Mfg. Company seeks temp to hire with a strong electrical and limited mechanical background to perform set-up, diagnosis, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical materials including circuits, components, instruments, and test equipment. Repair assigned materials while meeting time standards and maintaining company quality standards.
Position: Production Technician
Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor
Position Purpose:
Performs semi-routine tasks to ensure product compliance with quality standards.
Key Goals:
Troubleshoot, repair and program circuit boards to component level independently in a cost effective, quality and timely fashion.
Design, build and maintain test equipment for production line when required.
Brief leads and others when required on use of test equipment and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Perform set-up, diagnosis, testing, troubleshooting repair and calibration of all electrical materials including but not limited to circuits, components, instruments, test equipment
Repair assigned materials while meeting time standards and maintaining company quality standards.
Perform set-up, diagnosis, testing, troubleshooting repair and calibration of all mechanical assemblies including but not limited to existing test equipment, and electro/mechanical production assemblies.
Operate test equipment including but not limited to real-time oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies and special test fixtures.
Perform digital and analog testing required to recognize, analyze and repair failure.
Maintain programmable auto-testers, and all other testing fixtures.
Provide symptom, cause and repair reports for circuits, components, instruments, test equipment.
Provide regular reporting as required by Manufacturing Manager.
Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Authority:
Act alone:
Organization of work areas.
Set-up, diagnosis, testing, troubleshooting repair and calibration of all electrical materials including but not limited to circuits, components, instruments, test equipment
Touch base:
Minor delays in delivery of material.
Minor delays in production schedules.
Problematic circuits, components, instruments, test equipment.
Needs approval for:
Tools and supply purchases.
Major delays in material or assembly of product.
Inability to repair or scraping of circuits, components, instruments, test equipment.
Changes in departmental goals and processes.
Major Challenges:
Maintaining product quality.
Effective repair of circuits, components, instruments, test equipment.
Achieving on time delivery of products.
Qualifications:
Must be knowledgeable in the uses of bills of materials, assembly drawings, schematics and process instructions.
Must be able to effectively and quickly diagnose issues with circuits, components, instruments, test equipment.
Must be able to maintain good records.
Must be skilled at use of test equipment
Should have strong computer skills.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
One year of direct technical experience relating to electronic circuits.
Performance Evaluation:
Comparison of deliverable key goals and responsibilities.
Fulfillment of major challenges.
Formal evaluations: Conducted by Manufacturing Supervisor
Compensation: Direct hourly wage paid every two weeks. D.O.E.
Benefits: Standard company benefits.
Work Schedule: As required or minimum 40 hours per week. Monday Friday 7:00 3:30
