Position Summary

The Calibration Technician will perform calibrations as well as maintain, repair and adjust lab equipment as necessary. Additionally, the successful candidate will maintain electronic and written records of completed assignments.

Position Details

This Calibration Technician will perform calibration procedures on HPLCs, stability chambers, ovens, incubators, balances, spectrophotometers, power supplies, plate readers, heat blocks and thermometers. This position will prioritize/schedule the calibration workload to meet development and manufacturing needs; schedule and perform preventive maintenance on various types of laboratory and manufacturing equipment; and assist metrology laboratory staff in working with vendors.

Education Requirements

A.S. in electronics, metrology or a scientific discipline, or equivalent experience, is required.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 3 years laboratory instrument or manufacturing equipment experience, or the equivalent experience in a GxP and/or ISO environment, is required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point is necessary. The selected candidate will be able to prioritize work activities in an efficient and responsive manner; maintain a positive productive and flexible work attitude; and be willing to adjust schedules as needed.
